White Lines Around Text

Hello,

I have a business card that I have sent to the printer. I have had 2 runs of this card printed with no problems. Now that I have upgraded to Extreme Pro 4 I have these white lines around 2 text boxes.

I cannot get them to go away. The first image is in Xara and the second image is the PDF.

Any ideas?

It would be helpful to look at your original .xar file if possible?

White lines don't appear on my end with a standard 300 dpi PDF creation. What method are you using to create your PDF?

I have printed to PDF using Acrobat and also exported to PDF using Xara

Hmm... I can't see any lines in Adobe Reader 8.0.1.2 or in Adobe Illustrator CS3 when I export from Xtreme4 as PDF HQ 300dpi or PDF/X for commercial printing

I don't have Adobe Acrobat so can't check if there is a setting to show object borders or something. Perhaps another member can test in Acrobat?

In Xara, how did you create the PDF--in other words, which settings did you use that resulted in the white lines?

ps - I opened the resultant file in Foxit reader, as well as Acrobat 7.0, and neither of them showed the lines.

I got the lines also when I exported to PDF using Xara.

Again, *which* export settings did you use? Xtreme allows you to create several different types of PDFs.

Have you tried viewing your resultant PDF with the lines with another viewer (i.e., Foxit)?

Sorry, I miss understood. In the export I used commercial printing PDF/X 300 dpi and also tried the high quality 300 dpi as well. Got the white lines on both.

As for viewing it in a different viewer, the main problem is that I have had 2 orders of the cards printed with the white lines so I need t figure out why they are there.
