Default I'm not sure what this is called...

But you know on some web sites the graphic image "moves"? I know it is really just slowly zooming or panning across the image, but I'm not sure what that is called so don't know where to look for how to do it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA...

    It's called animation.

I'm not an expert in this part of Xara at all, but if you search for it in the help feature I'm sure it'll give you the directions you need. I did play with it once and as I remember it wasn't too hard to understand.

I'm sure other members of the forum will give you even more insight.

    Good Luck,

Animation - wow, just panning over a photo is considered animation? Goes to show I have a LOT to learn! Thank you both so much for such quick responses, and I am watching the animation video right now...thanks!

Animations can either be a flash, an animated gif or even a video (multiple formats) Mostly likely it is a flash if you are panning or zooming a photo.

    Coleen,
I believe the program you may be looking for is called "Photostory", and available as a free download from Microsoft.

Check out the demos through this link, then download it if it meets your needs.

Important note about PhotoStory. If you have the Windows Vista operating system then Photostory it may not run. It is only supported under Windows XP and below...

That is why I try not to use MS products when I send to someone else. They are infamous for just that type of thing...

Personally, I think it is part of their "upgrade" philosophy.
