Default My restaurant and take-away X4 website

    Hi,
This is my first attempt at an X4 web page. I must say that I am very very impressed with the WYSIWYG implementation.
I previously thought that it was all hype.
I usually use Frontpage but I have achieved things with X4 which I could never have achieved with Frontpage only.
My only quibble is that you can't edit it very well in Frontpage afterwards.
Oh well you can't have everything.

Please give me some good honest criticism.

Nice one! Really like those rollover icons where the food is 'eaten' And the idea of PDF so the customer can save the whole section.

Most links not working though, presumably because site not finished?

    Nice looking site, Anas.

You're right - that would have been very difficult to do in FrontPage.

I like it. The design is elegant, yet functional. (I'm an engineer, not an artist!)

Are the icon buttons (pizza to sundae) related to the buttons (Indian to Mid East)? If so, you may want to have them in the same order. If you could make the mouseover state hit both the icon and the button, even better!

I think your site design is the type that is ideally suited for using a tool like Xtreme. It would be difficult/time consuming to do that site design with most other web editors or by hand coding

It looks very nice so far. Would like to see it when it is all finished.

    Very nice Anas

I like the idea of the buttons in the middle like that.

I did notice one problem. When the buttons are moused over they move and light up instead of just lighting up. This means that they are not in the same positions on different layers.

I like it Anas. The rollovers are fun and ideally suited to your site. Are the PDF's only temp ? They are a single bitmap and I had trouble reading the text. Zooming in didn't improve the matter either.

You might want to read this thread, as the text doesn't align as you are expecting it to on a computer not set to Window's default 96 dpi. The quick fix is to use 'px' units for your text, rather than 'pt,' but, as that thread indicates, there are so many variables in web browsers that anything you do can be negated by a user's browser settings.
