Everything appears as a dotted red outline?

Hi, Newbie here, Xara 4 has been working great for me, all of a sudden everything I create (shapes, text, anything) is shown as a dotted red outline. What have I pressed? Help!

i guess you're drawing on the guide layer?

open the layer gallery and activate a different layer / move your objects to a different layer.

Hi NJT, you are drawing on the guides layer. Anything you draw on that layer will be dash/dotted red lines.

Open the Layer gallery and click on Layer 1 to make it the active layer.

You can cut/copy your drawn lines from the guides layer and paste them into Layer 1 and they will be normal objects again.
