HAPPY NEW YEAR Xarians everywhere! Put down the bottle ... and POST your most recent project to this forum. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece ... if you did it in XARA ... we want to see it!

    Bill,
Nice icons ... I didn't know you did programming?

    Tim,
More great faces ... you should try the same technique on their bodies.

    Carol,
I guess we both have new grandbabies this year! Cute grandson!

    You're welcome Bruce,
I'm doing my best to carry on the tradition ... although the participation isn't what it used to be. Perhaps everyone is still busy from the holidays.

BTW ... no one commented on my opening graphic I spent a lot of time on that thing (probably TOO much ... as usual ) ... at least someone could tell me it sucks ... or something

Funny – it look fine in Xara but the connecting rod is a bit jittery now. Short of adding additional frames does anyone have any ideas..?

    Hi all,

Heres my addition to the stop and post. Something I whipped up so that I could contribute.

    Small gold lettering demo.

Any reflective surface takes on some of the colours of the objects around, the colours being reflected in that surface. In fact any object, refective or not, will be affected by what is around it; a red ball on a table surounded by green apples and yellow bananas will have its colour altered by the presence of the green and yellow light being reflected on it, as will the green apple or yellow banana having red light reflected onto them. This is good for pencil crayon manufactures as even if you are just drawing the red ball you need at least a yellow and green as well.

Hi, thought I would teleport in and post one of my latest pics. Credits for this pic also go to 1) Access for his great programs that work with Xara and 2) Rich of Boulder Creek for his untiring contributions to the forum. Without those two this pic would not be possible. The background for this one comes from one of Rich's posts (mussell.jpg) Thanks !
    Happy New Year Everybody !!!
