If it took you 18 minutes Egg it would take me longer - I know this sort of thing is routine to true vector artists [which I don't pretend to be], but it drives me up the wall, I'd much rather be drawing something original, like I said

Cheers for that guys. Will have a play with it tonight.

Yep. I'm dabbling with the idea of doing a screensaver for my club - Southampton University Rifle Club

Possibly also a promotional video with some footage I got from our championships this year. A spinning crest on the opening/title screen would add a professional touch I think

    Hemmers

I thought I recognised it. I was on a course in Southampton Universty, School of Navigation for six months in 1967. Strange how images/logos stick in your mind.

Let's know if you need more assistance.

Hey, resurrecting an old thread here. Exams took over and I never did get round to sitting down and spending a couple of hours playing with Xara Xtreme.

Anyway, now that I'm graduated and proudly unemployed (working on it...), I've had plenty of time to have a play. This is the GIF, I also have it running as my screensaver, and as the screensaver on the shooting range computer. I just wanted to thank everyone who was so patient with me.

Bit tricky to read the text ("University of Southampton Shooting Team"), it's held back by the 500kb limit on the forum, bigger is better in this case!

Spot on, Hemmers. You are to be congratulated for sticking at it. A lot don't.

Nice diploma, but shouldn't it spin? And be in 3D?

Hmmm, that could be a nice challenge. Now I'll have to think of one.

Hemmers, congratulations, as Bob says, not everyone succeeds. And best of luck in the job hunt.

    Bang-up job, Hemmers!

You're perseverance has definitely paid off. Welcome to the 'Spinning Logo Club'. The Few, the Proud, the... Dizzy.

Best of luck on finding gainful employment,
    Harry
