XtremePro 4 and Xenofer 2 Plugin

there was an opportunity to purchase further non-demo filters at a discount price - a while back now - they only work in xara I think and needed downloading and installing seperately

My Alien Skin Xenofex 2 plugins work just fine with XtremePro 4!

I got my answer from Alien Skin...

Roberto,
The versions of Xenofex 2 sold by Xara are built specificly for Xara products. We have no updates for the Xara products.

Please contact Xara and tell them the following:
-the old version of Xara you had
-the version of Xenofex 2 you had

Hopefully they can help you with this issue.

So, while waiting XARA to agree a commercial update with Xenofer , I deleted the Xenofer Demo folder:
C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 4\Xara Picture Editor\PSplug-ins\AlienSkin\Alien Skin Xenofex 2

then I went on my Backup HD, selected the folder:

C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro\Xara Picture Editor\PSplug-ins\AlienSkin\Alien Skin Xenofex 2


then I selected Edit/Copy. The I went in the folder:

C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 4\Xara Picture Editor\PSplug-ins\AlienSkin

and finally I selected Edit/Paste.

That was my perfectly working installation of Xenofer 2 for Xara 4

Works a treat, unfortunately I had already uninstalled Version 3.2 so had to reinstall and then just copied and pasted the Xenofex 2 files (whole directory contents).

So this solution is OK for people with older versions of Xara, but not for new customers who have only version 4.0

Note, Eye Candy 4000 installed with no problems!

Hi,

Just thought it might be a good idea to remind people that I found version 5 will also work with Xenofex 2 if you copy the whole of the
.......\Xara PictureEditor\PSplug-ins\AlienSkin

folder from a working (older copy) of Xara into the

C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 5\Xara Picture Editor\PSplug-ins\AlienSkin\Alien Skin Xenofex 2

Best before you delete the old version!
