Cut'n Paste from Corel - Bug?

I'm trying to cut objects (vectors & bitmaps) from corel 12 files & paste in X4pro.

It locks up every time for me in X4. I'm using Windows Buisiness Xp., plenty of ram.

This does not occur with X1 - X32.

Observations...

I only have CorelX3 installed, but cutting and pasting (vectors/bitmaps/mixture of both) from X3 to XaraXtreme (all versions) I've chosen Corel 32bit Presentation Exchange from the paste dialogue with good results. No locking up.
This might indicate a subtle difference from CorelDraw 12 to X3.

Does the same thing happen if you save as .CMX then import into Xtreme4?
(I tested by saving a file containing vector and bitmap objects from Corel as CMX ver5 and then CMX ver13, then importing to Xtreme4 - both versions opened fine. )
