I finally managed to download the XXP 4 trial (my Internet connection isn't very fast) and so could do this exellent tutorial What a super new item is this webpage building !!!

Garry thanks for the web page creation tutorial but I have a complaint, since going through the workbook I can't stop designing web pages. Is there a cure or is this something I will just have to learn to live with

ive downloaded xara4, its working good,

Ive tried downloading and viewing the workbook tutorials 68 and 69, as well as Alexeys full workbook, but heres what I see,
the full workbook shows no pages,
and the tutorials or zips I unzip and view have no graphics,?
maybe its my crap vista system again...no luck..
these screen dumps are from the downloaded files,
I`ll just view them online for now ! yay vista...

anyone else have this problem after downloading?

Marcia, you might try one of the download segmenters (I use Getright), they allow you to speed up downloading &, if the site allows, which many do, re-start a Stopped or Disconnected download... I think they have a limited trial version to let you see if you might like (I did & purchased)

It's like $20 - You can even have it search for whatever file you want on mirror sites -bunches of features... You might want to give it a look-see. Tom

I still have the same problem, if no one else is getting it I`m just going to
say my vista system has issues and leave it at that..

I`m saving for a MAC or worst case a downgrade to XP..

I could write a book on my vista woes..

can we import flash videos to design frames around for webpage viewing,

so instead of the standard rectangle, a circle or organic shape..

or maybe when I get dreamweaver I can export a vector or raster frame out
to place over that video? (maybe this is more the realm of after effects..)

I have the same problem too they may need to form a XWPA Club (Xara Web Page Designing Annoymous Club) to help those suffering from web page designing syndrome.

I keep thinking about all the possible web page designs i can create. This new version with the html designing feature makes upgrading well worth it.

Yes, I covered that on page 5 of the HTML Workbook.

You create a place holder image the same size as your Flash movie, name it with Create New Names (as outlined on page 5) and then export your Flash animation into the HTML folder Xara creates when you export your website.
