Why was Availor, a former moderator, banned? I don't recall anything untoward happening. He was also seemingly quite active in the forums and on YouTube etc. His recent posts didn't suggest anything suspicious either. It seems very strange.

Well, you don't recall reading it, because it wasn't there for you (or anyone) or all that many to read (hopefully)...

There was never anything "suspicious" going on... AND YES, it looks strange, but TG is bigger than one (any) moderator.

In this case - I promise you that it was looked at over days (it was debated). Hopefully we get to explain it all decades from now... If it it's anything less, we all lost someone at TG that makes TG an amazing place to be.

Please, don't push this one. It will all be explained, hopefully decades from now! Please. Think a little bit, and have some faith that the moderators here appreciate everyone here at TG.

There was an incident during an important discussion in the moderators forum which unfortunately necessitated this action.
This should not in any way be construed as a slur on his standing and reputation or the benefits anyone has had from Availors help here at TG or from his YouTube tutorials.
However the banning of any member regardless of thier status, is not a topic for open discussion for, I think, obvious reasons.

The "ban" was thought through...

As is - the thread is closed. Any mod would be happy to open it again (hopefully) decades from now.
