Xara's Affiliate Program and Webpage Export

Given that people now seem to be making web pages directly from Xtreme (and thus the mental link between Xara and web page design is present), I wondered if people were aware that Xara has an affiliate program that allows you to earn money for advertising Xara on your site for each copy sold through your site. Given that some of these sites claim to be made in Xara etc., it seems like a perfect match and easy way to maybe make money.

That would be a great way to make a few bucks on your own personal website, but I would not suggest using that on any professional sites.

Xara will also pay US$100 for every complete designed template packs that they accept. Not sure if this is still running , but check out the information here

Sheesh...
One could almost dowload the demo, then build a few templates and pay for the program... What more could one ask, publicity and free software. What more could one ask.

Ummm... Because the client is paying to have there content on the site, and doesn't want to loose customers to another site. Not very good ethically, I would say. Unless they get the credit for the link and you are linking under their direction.

Many years ago I would add an ad to my site at the bottom of the page. Learned real quick that customers really don't like you using their space to run your ads.

You didn't say don't put it on someone else's site ... You said don't put it on a professional site. There's a difference.

If I do a site for someone else it is professional. If I do it for myself it is personal. Sorry to confuse you guys. It is hard when English is your second language, my native tongue in Engwish... I am from the states and wish I could speak english...
