Xtreme 4.0 update

Following feedback and testing from members of this forum and others, here is an updated release of Xtreme 4 and Xtreme Pro 4 that has a number of fixes, described below.

You can download and re-install this from the normal download link:

Just select to re-install option. If you have purchased the product you will be asked to re-enter you Activation Number.

Fill/Transparency Tools
- Transparency handle deselected - compromised workflow. Fixed.
- Problems with grad fill and grad transparency handles fixed.

Blends
- Text blends fixed.
- Crash hitting escape on profile dialog in blend tool. Should be fixed, but could not reproduce originally so needs to be confirmed.

Extrudes
- Using mouse wheel on perspective slider locks extrude.
- Edge rendering problems on extrude at some zooms. Fixed.
- Blending of extrusions disabled until it can be made more reliable
- Poor rendering quality on edges of grad fill in extrude fixed.
- Bad bevel shape on some extrudes, fixed.

Import/Export
- PDF file causes Xtreme to disappear while importing EPS file (it was really a PDF)
- 4.0 no longer remembers the last DPI used for bitmap exports across sessions. This was causing confusion so it’s now back to 3.2 behavior.
- Flash exporter now issues a warning about feathered objects not being supported by Flash
- EMF import causes shut-down. Fixed.

Text
- Severe performance reduction in Xara 4 for some very specific files. 3.2 speed now restored.
- Errors applying contour to text with characters selected fixed
- Undoing combine shapes subtract messes up text. Old Bug. Fixed
- Font application to text across page spreads now works.

64bit Issues
- Rendering problems on Vista64. Fixed.
- Xtreme locks up after applying feather on Vista x64 with certain graphics cards. Fixed.

Misc
- AV loading document after using layer gallery. Fixed.
- Some tool dropdown lists don't open upwards when required. Fixed.
- Objects on guide layers with no line color are not displayed. Fixed.
- atan2 DOMAIN error using painting live effect. Fixed.

What ! That was supposedly fixed. Anyone else not seeing the HTML Website option in the Export menu?

Hi Charles,
thanks for the immdeiate response..I haven't had it in any of the updates, I was anticiipating that it would be fixed in the shipped version. I have even manually registered the HTMLfilter.dll using regsvr32 and still nothing showing up in the export menu for 'Website"

Jim, Can you post a screenshot of your export dialogue box. Maybe if you are missing that, then you may also be missing something else. At least that way we can check.

OK the first step is to check if the files are there. Look in the Filters folder inside the the installed Xara Xtreme folder (program Files). Is there one called HTMLfilter.dll?
