4.0 & 8.3 Filenames

Anybody else noticed that if you double-click on a XAR file without Xara open, once 4.0 opens, the file name is shown in the old 8.3 format at the top? It's kind of annoying, as long filenames were the killer feature of Windows 95.

Subsequent drawings open showing the full filename. Is it that I'm still using the April 2 tryout version without having purchased?

That isn't happening for me running XX4 under Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit David.
I'd have to check on known LFN problems to find out why that's happening for you.

OK - I can repeat this using Windows XP SP2 - but not in Windows Vista Ultimate.

It has been reported.
