"Extrude along path"

I don't suppose that's an easy feature to add?


The path would be kept visible in 2D, like a blend's path, so that adjustments (its width, curve, vertices etc.) can be easily made to the path which instantly reflect on the extruded shape

Just an idea though, not necessarily demanding that you add this feature

I was going to be a smart ass and blend two extrusions along a path. but once you attach the blend to the path, the extrusion gets corrupted.

I meant an effect that looks like what Ivan posted a long time ago, but with the current extrude feature

Mr. Alien:

Extrude along path. I was thinking of the samething when I first started experimenting with the 3D tool.

Also, the interactive extrusion extrudes in BOTH directions from the original object's "face", I wish you could extrude in one direction or the other depending upon the direction you drag (similar to how SketchUps' PushPull tool works).
