Question Is there a way to inherit my Xara3.x settings and shortcut keys

I don't recall seeing anything whether or not Xara 4 can inherit Xara3.x's default settings and shortcut keys when installing Xara 4.

    Does anyone know for sure?

Charles, if you are by chance "lurking" can you elaborate?

    Regards, John

Not that I'm aware of. Previously even same version updates didn't do this.

However there have been changes to version 4 to allow saving and reloading of various shortcut key sets.

    From the Help file:

    Integrated key short-cut utility

This utility provides an easy and direct way to configure key short cuts. It allows you to define a short-cut for a command which doesn't have a short-cut by default, or to change a command's short-cut.
Use the Save button to save the current short-cut definitions as a ".ini" file, without necessarily applying them so they are used by Xara Xtreme Pro 4 you to setup different sets of short-cut assignments and allows you to share the assignments between different computers or different users. For example you could setup short-cut assignments that make Xtreme Pro compatible with the short-cuts of another application and save them in a .ini file so you can share them

I was surprised to see that one verison saved the keys in an .INI file while the other as a .DAT file.
