error with me or pro4 HTML

Just trying to get my head around links etc. Created these two pages saved as xara file and then exported as htm I get this mighty Access violation etc when trying to save to taojones.htm. I was hoping to keep building the pages slowly going through creating menus, mouse overs etc. But Xara wants to close every time I go to export as a webpage..here is the xara file can someone try to export it as a web page for me to see if they get the error message...thanks tao

Just tried it and got

Got the same when I tried to export it. Then I tried to group the objects together a the page save no problems. Even though I got the access violation the first time it did still save the html. page but only one.

quick test - would not export both pages

Remove the use of font ARIAL BLACK and all is fine.

I changed the body text to ARIAL BOLD.

Exported 2 pages to html without error.
(Yes I got the same AV first time without changes)

Oddly I also got it to work an keeping the Arial Black.

This time I removed the pale yelow page background rectangles, and simply made the page colour pale yellow by ctrl+Drag colour from colour line.
Both pages then exported fine without a crash.

Just shows you that we will need to spend some time getting to know all the quirks. Had a design that I had sliced & diced in Illy and brought it into XPro 4 and 15 minutes later I had the page exported and working saving me taking the page into ImageReady, what a time saver.

I know this is the Xara fan-club (I'm a member too!) but an acc-vio isn't a 'quirk' it's a honking great bug...

As long as it is found and fixed before the disks are pressed I would just deem it a quirk. A bug would need to be patched...
