    Default very slow rendering extrusion

I include the .xar, somehow the rendering takes forever, even on my dualcore, it is a bug or something or does it just take that long?

    B E C A R E F U L L / W A R N E D ! ! ! ! Takes really long.

When I try to turn/move the logo when in the extrude mode
    it takes forever to rerender.

Yep, that's slow all right.. It pegged all four cores at 100%, used 300 megs of ram and took about 3 minutes to display.

It's got all 4 of my cores pegged at 100% and it's ground through about 300 megs worth of memory while I've been watching it (and I can't even see anything yet).

I removed the extrusion to see that the drawing is quite simple, then hit undo too many times so it's rendering again. And of course while it's rendering the task manager says it's not responding, but once it's done rendering, everything is back to normal.

Seems sort of bug-ish to me, given that it's just some simple text and 4 shapes. More importantly if the group to be extruded contains just the text or just the coffe cup image there's no slowdown at all. The combination of the two of them together makes it take a fair bit of time.

This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.

I was wondering if it was just my machine.
I will put the logo xar here to let you see that it is almost nothing.
Then you can do the extrude on your own machine and see if it does the same. the settings are 30% bevel. I gave the line some color.
tried to turn the extrude a bit and suddenly it halted to an almost stop.

edit: I did it again and after moving the extrude about a bit the same thing happened again.

well, it was extruded, only when I move it, it freezes.
so if I change my text to editable shapes it should work fine?
I mean I have extruded text before and it worked fine.

But I give it a try.

edit: hmm it seems to happen when I give the sides(line) a color???

tried it again and it happens when I give the side(line) a color.

yes I agree about the colour - your second file seems ok - still looking at the first - it is slow

Hmm I changed the text to edible shapes, so that should have done the trick.
It didn`t, but when I added a color for the side, it hang very soon after.

my second file was the naked logo.
It was for people to extrude it and then try to move
it and do as I did to see if the same thing would happen.
they would have to extrude it set it to 30% bevel and add
a color to the side(line), the color adding made my machine freeze.
I wondered if people would follow the same things I did it would
    happen to them too.

Also change page size to 100%.
