Lost Xara Icons

Ok,
I ran my Registry Cure program and the icons now appear, but are very jagged. But still no thumbnails.???

Glad you have the icon back.

The only way I have succeeded to get the thumbnails back is to uninstall and re-install.

I have also lost thumbnails preview.
I have reinstalled 4 times and I still do not see them.

Same here - been using Xara thru all revisions since X1. I even removed all versions, purged all references to xara in the registry and reinstalled only the 4/8 version of XXP 4. Had to install with 'run as administrator' (using Vista Ultimate) to get it to stop trying to associate xar files. Didn't have to do that with 3.2 and the earlier version of 4. Everything appears to work, except no thumbnail preview in explorer.

After several try I discovered that thumbnails preview works 'before' I activate the software, stopping afterwards.

I will run it unregistered for the moment...

That XarThumbnailViewer worked - explorer now showing thumbnails correctly...
