    Hi Seahawkfan,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

    Can you post the jpg?

It will be easier to determine how to change the colour.

Xara X1 is a vector drawing applcation with some basic bitmap handling, it is not raster editor & does not include features like colour-replacement on a pixel level.

However, try cloning the bike (Ctrl+K). Then double-click the cloned (top) copy to start XPE. Using XPE, remove as much colour as you can, increase the brightness and accept the changes. Then, using the Shape tool (F4) to draw around the border of the red object. Select all (Ctrl+A) and Intersect Shapes (Ctrl+3). This will leave you with a somewhat chromed looking copy of the formerly red object. Making this white would be more the job of a pixel painting tool.

You could try drawing a white shape over the red parts. If you are good enough you could do that and make it look realistic. Just recreate the red painted parts in white, you would have to add your shadows and highlights etc....

I played around a little while with making the bike black and white, then using a several different transparencies to lighten the red areas... If you slice it closer it might look okay...

I was thinking of just drawing in the parts , more time consuming but you could do it!
