    Default coordinates issues

    Hi,

I want to exactly align 2 objects. I adjust the X and Y values to the exact value of the other object (like 401.7), but still they are slightly misaligned. How can that be?

    thanks,

    Matt

It's probably because of the way line width affects the edges of the two shapes.

If you're dealing with numeric coordinates then I suggest you turn off "Scale line widths" in the selector tool (seccond button from the right).

When you do that, line widths, corners, dash patterns and arrowheads are ignored in the X, Y, W and H numeric edit fields
