    Dennis & Soquili
I've noticed that when ever I download a .xar file from this forum it always get's appended with a (1). It was'nt something I added to the file, it seems the forum server add's the (1).
As Soquili states if you rename the file by removing the (1) it loads okay.
    Cheers

    Lovely picture.
May be this is a silly question, but how did you do it? The ribbon touch is what makes it more attactive, from my point of view (or is it the leaves?)

After much crumpet, we're now having a small inter-office drawing contest at Xara... Drawing's not my forte but here goes...

Thanks for the comments. The leaves were done using a single leaf drawing as a brush. I drew a circle and applied the leaf brush. Edited the brush fill, spacing and rotation. Cloned this, enlarged the clone slightly, rotated it slightly and re-edited the above brush properties. I repeated the above step several times.
The berries were also a single berry, created a brush, edited the offset and scaling and again applied to a circle.
The ribbon was drawn with the shape editor. I cloned it, drew a rectangle over the section I wanted a graduated fill, selected the cloned ribbon and rectangle, Arrange / combine / intersect shapes. I then applied a 2 colour graduated elliptical fill.

MattP~ loved your father christmas, but where's his beard? It must have been tea and crumpet time and you did'nt have time to draw it

Very nice picture, good luck in your office contest. Your Santa Claus looks excellent. I would suggest though, trying out the brush features and seeing what you can do with the trees. If you've looked at some of the gallery pictures, you'll find that you could make the trees look great. And I would also suggest using a linear fill and maybe some well-placed transparency to get a really 3-d effect on the snowman's hat. Very good work!

It could be said that too much crumpet is bad for the soul, but who am I to criticise..

Here is an antipodean Q in typical festive pose..
