Arrow 15 March in the Xara Xone - NEW TUTORIAL - FREE!

    The March 15 Xara Xone

The bucket needs work. I might have to make a separate tutorial just for it.

Enjoy. 35 steps. Not all of them clear.

Hi Gary. This looks great. I only wish I had enough hours in the day to complete each and everyone of your tutorials. I never seem to have the time to just draw in XXP, which is my favourite pastime. I promise to try this one out.

    Rustic .... That's a great word!

    Hi Gary,
I have just scrolled through this tutorial and like Egg I hope that this one will be my favourite “waste of time” within not to long . Your tutorials really help people like me to see the strengths of the program. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
BTW, Egg, your tutorial on a glass made me buy this program two years ago. Thanks to you as well.

    Getting there!

Couple of points though [hope you don't mind - I feel bad about this and it's probably me missing something ] ... after grouping the lines and subtracting I had to break shapes otherwise the arcs didn't bevel in between, is this right or should the arcs have separated without that? Also, I used stained-glass transparency on stone 13, not brightness. Most likely just me as I say

You might be right about Break Shapes. But Your stones turned out darker with less texture than mine.

But it is all a learning experience. And experimenting and coming up with your own solutions is the best way to learn.

For what it is worth. I am always amazed when people do my tutorials because I do not have the patience or concentration to do tutorials. I can create them, but whenever I try to do a long tutorial, I get to about step 2 or 3 and then I am trying different things and am off in a different direction.

Must say, I enjoy following tutorials (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks forward to yours Gary, they don't go to waste believe me ) except I have a nasty habit of doing them late at night and not reading everything which often leads to confusion ... which is probably what happened here

Yes it is darker - I got grey with brightness though. I'll go through it again from scratch this evening then try the carpentry

    Thanks

Hi Gary, thanks for the latest tutorial. I really enjoyed doing it,
especially the roof. The wire handle on the bucket made me stop
and think a bit, but everything else was crystal clear.
I learned some new tricks too. I find that now I've been using Xara
Xtreme for a year that I'm getting more benefit from your tutorials.
At first the instructions seemed strange and difficult to follow as I
didn't know what the tools could do. Now it's great fun.
    Thanks again, Gary.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

D'OH! Applied brightness transparency to fill not to well and didn't put to back

    [Sigh]

Reading more carefully, I shall advance ...
