Plugins making me crazy(r)

Ok this is is getting on my last nerve and I don't know what to do about it. When I first installed X1, I noticed that it will use Photoshop plugins. I have 40 million (more or less) of them and I thought it might be nice to use them in Xara. Bad move, it was constantly pausing the program and searching for plugins. It was becoming a real pain so I went into options and unchecked 'search for new plugins at program startup and removed the path to my plugins. But even now it's constantly stopping to search for new plugins. Am I missing a step in eliminating this stupid search? Any help will spare what sanity I have left and my family will appreciate it.

Maybe if you remove the program then reinstall it. Sorry this is the best I can come up with.

The attached zip file contains a .reg file that will make the search for new plugins at startup is disabled.

Unzip the file to your hard drive.

Make sure Xara X¹ is not open.

Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to browse to the folder where you unzipped the .reg file. Double click the file and answer yes to the popup.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled it, I should have mentioned that, sorry. I downloaded your zip, and implemented it, thanks. usually I'm the one that sorts these matters out for people but I don't know much about X1 yet. I have 3 pieces of xara software and I'm still finding ways they interact with each other.

Xara products are very versitile. I like them more than any of my other software.
