    Default Rotating objects around nodes

Is there a way of moving the start point of a line to another node/ point.
The only two methods I know are unsatisfactory.
    ● 1. ► Reverse the line path.
    ● 2. ► Brake point at a node.
Breaking the line of course turns the lined shape into a line only.
Reversing the path doesn't actually change the start/ end point.
I want the the results of the last image with its fill still present.

I think that you are right Gary.

    I've just found this workaround.
Just re-connect the 2 ends after you have broken them. The new start/ end position will be maintained.

    Care to share?
I just tried this with an ellipse yet cannot rejoin the break to allow the object to fill. Strangely, although the line is remains a line, left or right click on the colour bar fills the line with the selected colour..

Seems to work for me. In fact the fill goes away when you break the shape and then comes back on it's own when you rejoin the node. In this simple case anyway. (Maybe because my ellipse is circular? )

Maybe you converted the line to a shape after converting the ellipse to an editable shape?

Or I don't understand what's going on, which wouldn't surprise me.

This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.

No it's still a line. The info bar still tells me it's 32px

How are you re-joining the nodes? Maybe that's where I'm going wrong?

I just grabbed the node that I broke at, moved it away and then back to where it started until I got the + cursor. All without letting go of the mouse button, though I don't think that really matters.

    Hi Sledger,

To connect the ends of the same line:
    Select line.
    Click on 'shape editor tool'.
Pick up one end of the line.
Pass this end over the over end until a thick black '+' appears,
Now 'drop' it to join the ends to form a loop.

    Or

To connect the ends of the same line:
    Select line.
    Click on 'shape editor tool'.
Pick up one end of the line. (Or drag select over the line end)
    Press Enter
