Glad to hear it's not just some weird glitch on my system. Let's hope for a speedy fix from Xara. Probably be a good idea for all of us to keep eyes open in case there are other little deficiencies hiding out in odd corners.

Yep, sorry about this guys, but it's a new problem in the CMYK export. We're withdrawing the 1.1a. There will be a 1.1b real soon that fixes this.

The problem only affects CMYK export, other things should be fine. If you need CMYK export back in the meantime please re-install from CD.

Our QA seems rather lacking I'm afraid. My apologies to all.

I guess it is sometimes safer to be slow on the install huh? Still running 1.1 dated 8 jun 2004... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

And THAT ... dear friends ... is another marvelous example of why THIS forum is the most incredible resource a user could have.

Thank you Charles and Co. ... keep up the good work!

The patch is back. It's in the same location that Charles mentions above.

The TIFF problems should now have been corrected.

Thanks again for the notification of the issue.

I just verified what I suspected would happen with the spot color contone bitmap capability. That is you can create a spot color duotone image. Select a light spot color and a dark spot color and apply them to the bitmap. Then print a PDF file to separations and you will get two spot color plates making a duotone.

I'll cover this in the next Workbook.

    >>- There's been an update to cope with certain forthcoming XPE plug-ins<<<

Could you elaborate on this? Does this mean any change/advantage for the user _now_?

Timo, nope not yet. But there will be news on the XPE front in the near future.
