    Default Shadow on Bitmap

Hi i have masked out a bitmap of a globe i would know like to give it a realistic floor shadow. The shadow tool is giving poor results.

What techniques do you use and is there a plugin to create shadows

    Thanks

There are quite a few ways to do this job. Firstly if you know the shape you want i.e. globe and you know the position you want draw an ellipse, you may want it on a different layer, get the shape roughly right, with a dark gray fill and a small amount of feather then you could use the perspective mold tool and get the shape that you want. Then all you have to do is to play about with the Linear transparency tool to get the effect that you want. The other way is to use the floor shadow tool the convert the shape to editable shapes, ungroup it twice and then move it to the position that you want,
    Design is thinking made visual.

Another way is to use the Shadow Tool. Select the floor shadow. Use the Shadow Tool to click on the shadow and move it to where you like it to be. Adjust the Shadow Blur and Transparency using the two sliders on the infobar for the Shadow Tool.
