    Default Enamel

Ankhor posted a lovely graphic in the February '08 Stop and Post
thread in the Xara Gallery. I commented that the effects that
were created looked to me like enamel.

I have been working on a realistic enamel text and mine doesn't
look anything like Ankhor's work, which is beautiful, but I was
pleased with the result. I haven't seen any tutorials on enamel here
on the conference, or on the XaraXone, but I may have missed
    something.

I've attached a mini tutorial on how I did mine.

Not really a broad enough subject for a challenge, but I'd like to see
some of your ideas on how to make enamel.

Perhaps Ankhor would be kind enough to let us know how it was done?
I have a suspicion that bevels were involved.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

That looks pretty good to me Bob. Like you, I am sure Ankhor used bevels on his.

Very impressive results on the enamel Bob, but if not mistaken, you got yourself suckered into a lot of work when in reality, if I am not mistaken, an eyecandy 4000 plugin was used. Popeye and myself love these plugins and they give quick results, but you have gotten the satisfaction of figuring out how to get a great results from your own efforts. And if I may sidetrack a little, I'd like to say hello to Drifter........so.......hello Bob, I miss your old tool thread and think and visit it occassionaly.......great old thread that was

Here's an eye candy attempt... I must confess that I've not
experimented with their glass filter before. It's pretty good,
but I'm not blown away by it. I reckon I spent about the
same time on it as I did with my original post...big-headed,
I know, but I'm happier with my own effort.
Steve, your post #6 is pretty realistic, I'll have to check out
    the Mehdi Vibrations plugin.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Hi, Frank. Long time. Thanks for the compliment.

Well Bob, I started playing with your directions and when I got to the place the rectangles where needed part, well, that's where the hard part comes in. You obviously have more insight and patience than me. For now, I have given up.

Heheh plugins even, everyone knows this from me.
But I really like the letters he made, kinda gel like.

I added the xar, but if you don`t have the plugins they might not show
    in the second drawing.
