Logo Ideas

Hi,

I'm having difficulty thinking creatively today and coming up with ideas for a logo. Would anyone be able to help with suggestions for an identity for my new company, Unity Recruitment. I'm trying to convey brand values of a fresh approach, dynamic, focused, international and innovative (to name but a few!) The market sector is recruiting sales and recruiter/HR talent.

I am a beginner in Xara and thoroughly enjoy the tutorials so I decided to have a go! Xara is my first and only choice!

I am pretty keen on the following colour combinations but equally open to suggestions

Green & Blue
Blue & Orange
Green & Black
Red & Blue
Orange & Red
.....and of course Red, White & Blue

Hi,

In my opinion if the logo you posted here is your design, and I assume it was yours to post, then you have some pretty nice ideas about logo design.

So come up with something yourself for your new company and post it here, then we'll give you some good feedback and advice.

Nothing like a good brainstorming session

Thanks sledger for your quick response. The logo you reference was one I came across on the web a while ago. I agree its a pretty good looking logo and I was curious how they got it to spin around like that to learn a new technique and thank you for your previous response.

I am certainly not a logo designer but I do enjoy playing around with shapes as a beginner in graphic design. I will have a further go.

Gary Priester created a series of tutorials for Unleash.com titled "Logos for the Designed Challenged" and they are available at http://www.unleash.com/gary/logo/

There have also been several threads here at Talkgraphics discussing logos. One example is http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=24859

I hope they can give you some inspiration.

I unfortunately seem to be "logo hopeless" rather than merely "challenged"

Hi,

I attempted a few ideas, just random thoughts really. Do you think the logo would be better as unity rec or unity recruitment? I think the word recruitment may be too long but the word rec may have a negative interpretation. What do you think?

Thanks for owning up.
In future, to save possible copyright infringments, would you simply refer to something you've seen on the web by way of the original URL rather than saving the graphic and uploading it to TG. That was we can all still see what you are referrencing, but at an authorised location.

I like No 4 - but change the dot in recruitment to be round and orange...

Or do some kind of linking device between the dots...
