Hi Thrush,

When any program tries to create a bitmap from a vector, it has to sample the bits at that location. When you have a line going at an angle your line will pass through a location halfway and thus needs to be filled with something. If you have the color of the web page behind the text, then you will fill the half pixel with the background color.

The easiest way to get the page background to be a solid color/ the background color is to Ctnrl-drag your color from the color line to the page. That will automatically create another layer the same color as what you dropped in the background.
