Text 3D extrusion with perspective?

I want to extrude 3d text with a vanishing perspective. Anyone know of a tutorial that shows how to do that?

There are more advanced & complex ways of producing and customising what you want, however to get you started - here's a quick method using just a few tools.

I already knew the extrusion part, but the
vanishing point side of in was news to me.
The font used in my attachment is 1979.
