Error during PDF import in Xara Xtreme Pro

    Hello,

I have a Company Logo in PDF format, that I am trying to open/import in Xara Xtreme Pro 3.2.3.2325.

When I open it xara gives:

    ERROR FROM XARA EXTREME PRO
    Unexpected error (0x80004005)

This is first time I see Xara to fail in PDF opening.

    Some info:
    - The original file was in .EPS format and was converted in PDF
    - The original .EPS can not be imported : Error detected in EPS file at line XXXXX [1] (--> that is just the %%EOF line statement at the end of the file)
    - The format was:
    %!PS-Adobe-3.0
    %%Pages: (atend)
    %%BoundingBox: 3 3 288 354
    %%HiResBoundingBox: 3.700313 3.595313 287.496573 353.539701
    %.........................................
    %%Creator: GPL Ghostscript 815 (pswrite)

    - The file was converted into PDF using "DocPrint Document Converter"
    - The resulting PDF can be seen, opened and printed regularly in Adobe Reader, but I can not open it with Xara!

Dear Xara Developers, what means this error ?
How can I import this file ?

    Regards.

Question Re: Error during PDF import in Xara Xtreme Pro

Can you post the file here?

Maybe one of us can open it and save it for you?

Default Re: Error during PDF import in Xara Xtreme Pro

Is the entire PDF postscript? Or does it contain rasterised (bitmap) data too?

If the company Logo is a bitmap, then you could use Adobe reader's "snapshot" tool (set PDF to 100% view) then paste result into XaraXtreme ready to trace.

Another trick is to install a PDF printer driver and then Print the PDF to another PDF (whose PS format may be written slightly differently). Xara may then open it up.

You could also try PDF to WORD
