Text not working anymore...

...cant write any text at all. Running Archlinux which is bleeding-edge. Have I been cut or is anyone else having this problem?
wxgtk 2.8.4
imagemagick 6.3.6.6
xara 0.7-rev1785

If you are using the binary package (as opposed to building from source or using a distribution package) the wxWidgets version is irrelevant as it is statically linked in. Imagemagick is not used for text. I'm afraid I have no clue as to why text might not be working.

Oh, I have this problem too. For some reason, it just stopped working.

Workaround - change any of the text settings (font, size, doesn't matter), and it'll be working again... but you'll need to do that for every new time you start a text object.

I'm not sure what is the problem.

Stupid I know, but is text set to white on a white background as default ........

No, because like I said, all it took to "fix" it was to change the font/size or anything about it and it'll work. I didn't change the colors to get it working :/.

Oh and it seems to be fine now, odd. I didn't do anything special.

I am still experiencing problems. I can not change the text. It appears to be in the module but will not appear on my website. Support emailed me finally and said to press the ctrl and F5 keys to reload. That doesn't work either. I will try changing the font size.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Which Xara product are you using?

From your post I think you may be using the Xara online modules. Is that correct?

The forums here at Talkgraphics pertain to graphic illustration (drawing) programs. I do not know of anyone outside of Xara support that could answer questions about their online modules.

If my assumption is incorrect, please be more specific about the problem you are having and which product you are using.

You are right. It is Xara Online module and I don't know where to go for help.
The complaints "text not working" seemed to fit where nothing else did.
