Exporting pdf v1.6 to QuarkX

After many emails back and forth with Xara support regarding exporting pdf v1.6 and importing to Quark, I have found out from Quark support that they do not support pdf v1.6, only pdf 1.5. So if you export your pdf as v1.6 it will not import to QuarkX, so don't think there is a problem with Xara. Here is a copy of their email to me:

Dear Richard,

Thank you for contacting Quark Technical Support.

I understand your concern.

I would like to inform you that QuarkXPress 7 supports PDF version 1.5

So you will not be able to import PDF version 1.6 in QuarkXPress 7.

Just use tif cmyk. Quark sucks anyways try indesign.
