    Default Calling cards

I'm looking for examples of social calling (visiting) cards, having had a request from a lady in her 80s who has an active social life.

There are heaps of examples of "biz cards", but of course a social calling card will not have the same corporate look to it. Social calling cards are somewhat out of fashion, so it's harder to find examples.

I'd be grateful for any pointers.

How about something a little more artistic, with just the name, number and maybe the email on it. I use a nice pretty flower on my calling cards and a more formal image on my business card. I print em both at work, so I don't have an example here.

Thanks Parahandy. I did do a search in Google, but Crane's didn't come up within the first 3 oages here in the UK (even though I used google.com (not .co.uk) -- in fact, Google came up with very little -- mostly pre-paid phone calling cards!

Thanks for the suggestion, John. I've put together a few examples for the client, using floral designs and Bookman Antiqua (she being an elderly lady).

I'd be grateful for any other suggestions or examples as well, if anyone knows of anything?

After I retired I made myself a "business card" with my photo on it and my first name is fairly large letters. I also made my phone number and email address quite large as my husband complained that "we old people can't read regular business cards".

The simpler you can keep the card the better. Name and number would be perfect for a social card. Too much stuff is crammed into many business cards. If I wanted their resume, I would have asked for it.

Aye, John, I agree -- simplicity has a certain something. But the lady has asked for something floral, and being in her eighties, and conservative but not frumpy, I'm enjoying the challenge of finding something that suits her general demeanour and attitude to life.

    Hope that helps some.
