    http://xaraxtv.at.tut.by/fontseeker.htm

    New is:

    - remembers window position
    - can change font size

    Please test it.

P.S. Anyone have Windows ME? (Need test on it)

I love the drag and drop feature. It will make it much easier to compare different fonts. However, when I drag and drop, it brings in a warning from Xara Pro that fonts might be substituted because they are not currently installed. It also brings it in at a weird point size (Fontseeker is set at 40, text brought in at 36.75). I'm running Windows XP.

I get the same warnings (only dingbat fonts so far). Also the size difference occurs for me too. Using XP SP2 also here (will test on Vista later)

Great little app though - thanks

Ok, I did a little more testing... set the filter to TT. Some fonts come in fine. I drag and dropped three different fonts with no problem. Then I tried to drag Eras ITC and got the warning. After that, I tried dragging the first font I'd tried with no problems, but this time I got the warning. So it may be that once the warning comes up, it continues with each new drag and drop.

Access, here's how it looked with the properties dialogue open.

In fact I don't have a font man Old Style but it turns out I imported Bookman Old Style so it would appear to be altereing the font names at times, thus the unknown font warning. Hope this helps.

    Dmitry,

Everything seems to work fine - No errors, No warnings - on my system.

However, it doesn't matter what the text size is in fontseeker, when dragging and dropping into Xtreme, all text comes in at 33.75pt with an aspect ratio of 94.45%

You make very useful applications, thanks a lot for your work.

It works great on my XP sp2, and is great help for finding fonts with scandinavian characters.

    Some suggestions:

    - would it be possible to drag the font from Fontseeker on a text object in Xara to make apply the font?

    - is it possible to add a shortcut to the Fonts folder, and maybe show some additional info on the selected font?

    thanks again,

    Jon

    - drag font to text object is rather impossible because it is inXara behaviour

    - shortcut to Fonts is possible

    - additional info is also possible (what exactly you would see?)
