Fireworks Effects

Has anybody done a tutorial on how to make fireworks effects?

So far I have only found www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=12296 (in particular the bottom left one which is an excellent starting point which I can adjust to suit).

May be I should be adding some random sparklies to this brush would make it better still!

Any help would be grateful on creating further fireworks effect?
