1/8 bleed not showing

I have a 5x10 ad with a 1/8 bleed. When i export to pdf it does show the 5x10 area but not 1/8 bleed area.
My document size is set to 5x10. I stretch the image to the 1/8 bleed line, select all and export, but the 1/8 part does not show in pdf. Which setting am I missing?

I just tried this and it worked for me. What export option are you using? I tried it with the PDF/X Commercial Printing option and it worked fine.

Are you sure that the bleed area is not showing? Or are you looking at the image that has bleed added and not seeing the actual page?

Not sure if this is what you need to change, but if you open Adobe Reader (I have v8.01), press ctlr+K, go to Page Display and check the box 'Show art trim and bleed box' - this might help?

Also, are you usung Xtreme or XtremePro?

I did another attempt and now it worked. No clue to what I did wrong before but everything looks good now. By the way I used the custom pdf export option.
