Default Can someone with XX on Vista check this please?

Attached is a tiny file which exhibits this strange clipboard problem that I've been having. It seems to be a function of Xara copying a BMP version of the shadow to the Windows Clipboard.

Just open the file, select the yellow shape and hit Ctrl-C to copy it.

When I do this, I get a fake image which appears at the top left of the xX drawing space.

If I drag the shape around the screen, it 'wipes' the fake image away. But if I drag the shape *off* the drawing area and onto the button-bars, the shape will reappear.

    Anyone else?

Tested on Vista Business. Can't reproduce what you're experiencing..

Same on both Ultimate & Home versions, can't repeat what you are saying.

Probably a video card/driver issue. I tried your file in the latest version of xtremepro on XP pro (xp pro with all the latest drivers, patches, service packs etc.). I get exactly the same thing you are getting in XP. So *no* it's not a Vista issue.

My XP machine has an ATI Radeon, 256 mb memory, driver version 6.14.10.6715. You can check for updated drivers and that might fix it, or switch out your video card which is more likely to fix it. Maybe some of the folks who aren't having the problem will tell us what card(s) they have that are working right.

I updated my video drivers, no change. However, I found that if I have anything docked (like the layers or lines galleries) I have the problem. If I have nothing docked I do not get the problem.

Radeon or FX are simply GPU model names from the two main video processor manufacturers. Both models have a number of incarnations in their series with different specs and so on.

Below are two screen grabs using PCWizard on my system, showing the card model and type, the currently installed driver (and much more besides).

See my post on the Off-Topic forum about more accurately identifying your PC hardware.
