Question Space bar select in X1 vs Xpro-Has this option changed?

Just purchased Xpro so I'm a bit green here.

I"m having problems with getting something to work in Xpro. Something must have changed or I'm missing an option for setting this up in Xpro.

In X1 you could use the space bar to toggle back & forth between another tool & the select tool. I can't seem to figure out how to do this in Xpro?

Not having this option really slows down the editing process in Xara, esp.. when working with nodes. Anyone know how to do this in Xpro or has it been removed or changed? Not having it really effects efficiency which is one of Xara's biggest assets.

For experimentation in Xpro to do the same thing requires extra key strokes & moving the eye from screen to keyboard effecting efficiency. Ex- "V"=pick tool & F4=node. Where as before it was Node/space-to pick tool-select object/space back to node tool. Very simple & streamlined.

I know it seems trivial but for complex vector images is really slows things down not having this. Suggestions, solutions?

"Holding down space bar now does a temporary switch into the Push tool."

You can change it back to the old way from Options (I did).

However, the new option is quite useful with a tablet, and also "compatible" with Adobe programs.

I took a look at all the tabs in Xpro Options setup but can't seem locate which one changes this. Could it be the defaults box?

I'd rather work effeciently while creating vectors vs. having compatability with adobe at this point. "Don't get me wrong, Not trying to be a wise aXX, my appologies if it sounds this way".

I see what you mean with the tablet. Still, I'd rather have it back the old way if I can eventually figure out how. Takes too long to edit things in it's current config.

Thanks for letting me know it can be done. Just gonna have to dig till I find find the treasure.

    oops,

sorry - you need to change it in Xtreme Pro Shortcuts, the little helper program for customizing the keyboard shortcuts.
