I'm not against bitmap usage in Xara per se, but for handwriting, vectors seem to me to be more flexible, even if it means doing a manual trace of a bitmap.
Having said that, I'm glad you posted on Mehdi "Fine Threshold" plugin.
It looks very useful, thanks a lot.
