    Default guides

If you drag a guide onto the page how do you drag it off? I am sure I used to put my cursor over it and drag. Now when I drag a guide onto the page I can't seem to grab it to drag it anywhere....I think I need holiday..

for some reason it has started to work again after I shut down my computer

    Tao,
Sounds like you had made the guide layer uneditable by taking the tick out of the box in "Layer manager"

You can always right click on the screen ruler and select Delete All Guidelines, even if your guideline layer is locked.

I have the same problem. The guide lines are displayed as editable in the layer gallery, yet I am unable to select them using the selector tool. Once they have been placed the only way I am able to edit them is through the properties dialogue window (from the right mouse button menu in the layer gallery).

I have been using Xtreme for several months without any problem with guide lines, today is the first time I am encountering this problem. I would appreciate any help in discovering what went wrong. Could it be a bug?

Your magnetic snap radius might be set to 0, another common cause of this problem.
