Unhappy menu options - please see attatched file

    hi guys

on my webpage, i want a menu which is one continuous blue bar and then when the user hovers over the different options, the font changes from white to green, i have made the two seperate menus in xara

my question is this, how can i 'cut up' or slice the image so that i can save all the different parts as seperate gifs?

then, in frontpage i would simply enter each gif in a seperate cell with cell padding set at 0 to recreate the continous bar, then add a 'swap image on mouse over' behaviour

my problem is i dont know how to cut up the image into seperate gifs so that it is re-assembled back in frontpage, exactly how it is in xara

PS: i am a dummy, my wife always tells me that, so i would appreciate it if you guys could answer in a 'for dummies' manner, telling me which tools and how i would need to use them to cut up the two menu bars EXACTLY in the same place
as always, your help is appreciated

    Hi Herb
ok, draw a staright vertical line that goes across both bars where you want the slice. Then select the line and both bars. Then press control and 4 , or go to menu , select Arrange, Combine Shapes, then , Slice shapes.
See my attached file. I did the first slice for you.

    Hi Herb,

A quicker loading menu bar would be to just use the rounded corners as gifs, for the mouse overs use a cascading style sheet, and the blue bar just use a background in your table... should load 100 times faster...

See the nav bar on this site for an example...
