    Default brown tinge!!

When trying to print a grey object it has a brown tinge to it.
I tried doing a rectangle with black to white as a fill and it also has a brown tinge.
I suspect that it is the alternative inks in my Canon I865 printer or as it is many year old perhaps on its way out:-((
    Any comments please.

Perhaps you could post the .xar file with the "grey object" with the "brown tinge" to it? And someone will, I'm sure be able to help you...

No one here is an expert on "greay objects" and "brown tinges"... But magic often happens in this part of the Web if there is a file to look at. Why not give it a go?

I attach the bar I printed which has a brown tinge it well should be just a black white graduated fill.
This was a test after trying to print a more complex picture which had a brown tinge.
Its probably just my old printer and alternative inks.

Peter, the brown tinge is usually an indication that the cyan ink running low or not being delivered at the same volume as the magenta ink.

If there is the same amount of both inks, trying cycling your printer's head cleaning process a few times.

Prints fine. It's either your inks or old or your printer is not printing accurately.
