mac - vista style backgrounds

Hi,

I try to create a Mac or Vista syle background with Xara Xtreme, but I couldn't. Does anybody has any tutorial about this ?

I don't personally have tutorial for it, but how about a three-point fill as a background and placing blends of different lines on top? Different blends and different transparencies of the same?

Very poor and quick example attached.

Play with the fade feature of blends. Play with ability of blending along a curve in order to get the shapes you want.

In all I think it takes some playing around to get the effect you are looking for.

Hopefully someone else will pitch in also.

The April 2007 tutorial at XaraXone (Vista inspired navigation bars) may help to learn how the translucent effect has been accomplished.
