Is there a way to make a Lens Flair ?

I'm trying to put a moving object in my Header that has a lens flair behind it that I made in Photoshop but it doesn't tween smoothly. You can see that I made a series of jpg images and streamed them together but I would have to do the entire series bit by bit and it would take forever. If I could make it all in Extreem Pro it would be smooth and flowing and alot quicker, is there a way to get the same results that I need or am I doomed to have about 100 slides?

Perhaps if you could attach the lens flare jpg someone might come up with an idea.
