Incompatibility with IntelliPoint 6.1?

After installing Microsoft IntelliPoint 6.1 to go with my new mouse I'm seeing Xara's main window flickering at random intervals.

This has happened on two separate machines, both after the IntelliPoint install.

Anyone else seen this and got a workaround?

Just enter the words Intellipoint and flicker in Google and feast away. It clearly isn't Xara... Quicken, Photoshop, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCAD are just a few of the names that pop up... In one (which I didn't read) Adobe suggests the fix: uninstall Intellipoint.

It's the stupid Alt-Tab-like application switcher taking periodic screenshots. It is a feature of the new Intellipoint software (that you can't turn off) but even if you can find an old version to install instead, the extra buttons on your new mouse won't be supported. My workaround was to throw away the new Microsoft mouse and get a Logitech one.
