    Another tip.

    One of the limitations of the plasma fills that is visible on your horseshoe is that the plasma pattern repeats itself, and doesn't come across as natural because of that. A way around this is to copy the shape with the fill, modify the fill (scale it and rotate it a bit), and then apply a flat transparency to the copy.

    Here is a quick, imperfect recreation without the noticeable pattern.

    More shoes.

    You can go nuts layering different fractal plasma fills and plasma transparencies.

    I'm glad you like it. Your gel button tutorial is what ultimately prompted me to figure it out. I think the same technique should be usable to get pretty effective skin tones--haven't tried it yet, though.
