Thread: Flickery Flash?

  1. #1

    Default Flickery Flash?

I've created some simlpe fade in fade out animations for a customer, to her exact requirements, using Xara Xtreme Pro. But the customer isn't happy:

"They are far too flickery" she says.

So, what can I do about it? Here's one of them as an example: http://www.friendlytriffids.co.uk/home.htm

It's especially noticable on the last 2 images, which are brighter.

What you created is not really a fade in - fade out flash.
It's more of a fade out to black - black to fade in.
You could try creating it again to see if that helps.
Or if you want a real fade in fade out effect check out this tutorial.

Unfortunately, she wants the fade to black between images, and it seems to be the redrawing of the faded levels of the image that show the flickering most.

I'll have a look at the tutorial all the same though, and see if I can do something differently.

So, that's not really a reply to help, but spam for your own forum eh?

    Actually it isn't spam
XaraXone is a very useful addition to Xara.

Yes I did write that guest tutorial.
I think if you use that process with black as the second pic...
you would get much smoother results.

    Aridzone / Brivtech,

Just a point of clarification. Between post#3 & #4 there was a post by a persistant little **** spammer, which has now been deleted, so Brivtech was refering to this post as spam, not the post re the XaraXone.

That indeed is the case - Hence why my above post is double-posted.
