I've lost my clip art!

Hi

my clipart has left home I've clearly upset it.

I I look i the directory

C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara XtremePro\Clipart I cn see all the files but if I select the gallery in XARA all I see is two downloaded drawings gallerys and an introduction

Has anyone any idea?only seems to ave happened since I upgraded to 3.2.2.22228

You must try to be nicer to your clip art.

Do you have a disc from a previous version? You can use that. I believe you can copy and paste the clip art folders to your hard drive and then use the Disc Clipart... button in the Clipart Gallery.

Just out of curiosity do you have Bitmap Fills in your Fill Gallery?

yes I do have the fill gallery and it's full of bitmaps such as brick and horticultural textures- must check that out!

Ok back to my clip art in the directory

C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara XtremePro\Clipart I have 41 directories full of clipart I copied from the old version (awaiting my cd of course)

Started extreme and used the disk clipart and it works-not! it If I browse to the directory where I've copied the clip art (all xar files) and select the folder it adds to the gallery the introduction folder so I now have four of them.

all rather confusing really

I would try deleting thos galleries from off your HD then try installing again. I have seen the index file for the galleries get corrupted and it won't see poo. You can try just deleting the index file, but I don't remember the name of it this morning and I'm not awake enough to go looking.

You could also point to an older install for the galleries and see if that index file is okay...

it might be worth trying putting them in a completely new folder and using disc clipart to navigate to this

if that solves the problem, then I'd agree with John - could well be an index file problem

I've found a solution- uninstalled extreme pro and extreme. Installed extreme from the cd and then installed the downloaded 3.2 extreme pro.

Bingo clipart back!

The law of Sod! my cd arrived today which of course would have solved all problems straight away
