make picture fade

how could u make a picture fade out like start solid on the left and fade to my background on the right

Hi,
- Pull down "Layer > New > Layer From Background" to convert the Background to ordinary layer. (By default Photoshop renames it to "Layer 0".)
- Pull down "Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal All". This adds a mask to "Layer 0".
- In the Toolbox, choose the Gradient Tool
- In the Options bar, choose "Linear" mode, and "Foreground to Background" transition.
- Tap [D] to set default foreground and background colors
- Drag across the image (left to the right) to gradient-fill the mask
- Done
